Bulk rename images

Squishify renames a whole batch of images at once, directly in your browser. Number a sequence with or without a prefix, or type one name that every image takes. Sequences are zero-padded, so the files sort correctly afterwards. Download one image or the whole batch as a ZIP. It is free, there is no signup, and your images are never uploaded to a server.

How to rename multiple images at once

  1. Open Squishify and drop your images in — a whole folder at a time is fine.
  2. Press R, or click Rename in the toolbar.
  3. Pick one of three ways: rename a single image, number a sequence with an optional prefix, or name every image in one pass.
  4. Check the order before you commit — the queue is what gets numbered.
  5. Download a single image, or Download all for one ZIP.

What you can do

Questions

Can I rename multiple image files at once?

Yes. Number a whole sequence with or without a prefix, or type one name that every image in the batch takes.

Will my files sort in the right order?

Yes. Sequences are zero-padded, so 12 files sort correctly instead of putting 10 before 2.

Do my images get uploaded to a server?

No. Squishify renames and processes images entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Is bulk renaming free?

Yes. Rename, crop and resize are free, with no account and no install. Squishify Pro adds drag-to-reorder, so the numbering can follow an order you set.

Can I rename and resize in the same pass?

Yes. Set the rename sequence alongside size, format and quality, and the batch comes out renamed and processed in one download.
