Every image plugin optimizes what you upload. They do it after the file reaches your server, because that is the only place they can reach it. Squishify does it before the bytes leave the browser — and with auto-optimize on, that stays true even for the people on your site who have never heard of Squishify.

Two settings. An output format and a maximum width. That is the whole thing.
It leaves alone what it can’t improve. An image Squishify can’t make smaller uploads exactly as it is, and GIFs and SVGs are never touched.

Free already crops, resizes and renames a whole batch in wp-admin. Pro turns that into a full asset-prep workflow: give a gallery one consistent look with Color, put your own logo on every image with Watermark, skip the editor entirely with Quick Process, upscale what falls short, apply curated presets, and ship optimized files straight into the block editor, ACF fields, or your Media Library. Replace existing images

Open any image already in your Media Library, optimize it, and replace it in place. Same attachment — alt text, captions and the library entry all survive — and when the file name or format changes, Squishify rewrites the old links across your posts and pages, resized thumbnails included.

Upscale

A source that came in under the size a layout needs — a 600px product shot for a 1200px slot — doubled so it fits, before the resize and encode. A clean 2x, not an AI reconstruction: it gets the image to the size, it doesn’t invent detail that was never in the file. Per image, or applied by a preset.

Color

Colorize, saturation and contrast — so a gallery of raw product shots comes out feeling like a set. Adjust one image, or apply the same look across the whole queue in one pass.

Watermark

Your own logo or a line of text on every image in the batch — a corner or the centre, a size, and how strong it should be. Sized as a share of each image, so one setting lands the same on a thumbnail and on a full-width hero. A logo can take a drop shadow so it still reads on a bright photo, and Squishify remembers it for next time.

Confirm a recipe once — format, quality, size, even a rename prefix — then every image you drop runs straight through, ready to upload. No editor, no per-image stop.

Command Editor — experimental

Drive the whole queue by typing instead of clicking through it. Target images by position, filename, size or orientation — resize 1-2 800, crop landscape 16:9, rename *.png shot- — and see what each line will do before you run it. Turn on Record and it writes the commands for the work you do by hand, or press Dictate and say it out loud. Open it from the header, or press ⌘K.

Session recovery

Closed the tab mid-batch? Your queue and every edit — crops, renames, settings — are waiting when you come back. One click and you’re where you left off.

Is the free plugin really free?

Yes — free and fully functional, forever. No credits, no quotas, no cloud API. Free handles up to 50 images per batch, and resizing, cropping and batch rename are all free. Pro takes 100 per batch and adds more ways to prep your assets (New batch with the same settings, presets, Color, Watermark, Quick Process, Upscale, reordering, session recovery, and an experimental Command Editor) and the deeper WordPress integrations.

Do my images ever leave my computer?

Never. All compression happens in your browser — we don’t have servers that could receive your images. Finished files upload directly to your own WordPress site, and nowhere else.

How many sites can I use Pro on?

One license covers up to 3 live sites — local, staging and other dev copies don’t count toward it, and every site gets the full plugin. Need more? Squishify Teams covers unlimited sites, plus 30 web seats for the whole team.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

The plugin keeps working — we don’t break your site. Updates and support stop until you renew. You can cancel or manage billing any time through the billing portal.

Does Pro work with Gutenberg and ACF?

Yes. There’s a Squishify button on Gutenberg Image and Gallery blocks, and on ACF Image and Gallery fields — repeater rows included. (Gallery fields require ACF Pro, as galleries are an ACF Pro feature.)

Is Squishify Pro for the web really included?

Yes — for a limited time, a WordPress Pro license also unlocks Squishify Pro at squishify.app, with the same key. Handy for the sites you manage that aren’t on WordPress.

What’s your refund policy?

If Pro isn’t for you, email hello@squishify.app within 14 days of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; a refund deactivates the license.
